Salvación para las Naciones

La Buena Noticia anunciada por Jesús de Nazaret ofrece salvación y vida a los hombres y mujeres de todas las naciones . Después de su resurrección, Jesús declaró que “ toda autoridad en el cielo y en la tierra me es dada; ¡por tanto, id y haced discípulos a todas las naciones!” Así, envió a sus discípulos a anunciar su señorío y salvación hasta “ los confines de la Tierra .” El mensaje vivificante de Cristo debe ser anunciado a todos los hombres y en cada nación bajo el cielo.

¡Su nombre es Jesús!

El nombre ‘Jesús’ significa “Yahvé salva.” La salvación prometida por el Dios de Abraham ha llegado a través de Jesucristo . El niño llevado por María fue “ engendrado por el Espíritu Santo .” El ángel le ordenó a José que llamara a este niño 'Jesús': “ Llámalo Jesús, porque él salvará a su pueblo de sus pecados .” Su nombre señalaba el acto salvífico de Dios que estaba a punto de desarrollarse en la Historia.

To the Ends of the Earth

The Good News announced by Jesus of Nazareth offers salvation and life to the men and women of every nation . After his resurrection, Jesus declared that “ all authority in heaven and on earth is given to me; therefore, go and make disciples of all nations !” Thus, he sent his disciples to announce his lordship and salvation to “ the ends of the Earth .” Christ’s life-giving message must be announced to all men and in every nation under heaven.

Jesus is His Name!

The name ‘Jesus’ means “Yahweh saves.” In the man of Nazareth, the salvation promised by the God of Abraham has arrived . The child carried by Mary was “ begotten of the Holy Spirit .” The angel instructed Joseph to name this child ‘Jesus’: “ Call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins .” His name pointed to the saving act of God that was about to unfold in History.
